Amy E. Durkin, CEM
Director of Association Events

Amy Durkin, CEM, is the director of association events at the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) where she has overall responsibility for its annual meeting. Prior to joining NCEA, Ms. Durkin was the exhibits manager at the Council for Exceptional Children, the largest association for special education teachers in the United States. Ms. Durkin has also managed meetings in the medical and defense industries.

Ms. Durkin has been a member of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) since 2004. She received her Certified Exhibitions Manager (CEM) designation in September 2008 and currently serves as the Chair of the D.C. Chapter of IAEE. She serves on the CEM Commission and is a graduate of the Krakoff Advanced Leadership Institute. She recently joined the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) where she hopes to begin work on her Certified Meeting Planner designation (CMP) in the near future.

A native of Richmond, Virginia, she received a bachelor of arts degree in communications from Radford University.
