Claire Helm, Ph.D.

Claire Helm is currently the Vice President of Operations and Director of the Office of Leadership Development at the National Catholic Educational Association. She serves as Coordinator for NCEA's Diocesan Strategic Planning services, Coordinator for NCEA's Catholic School Finance Management workshops as well as the Director of the Fr. Michael J. McGivney Memorial Fund, an endowed fund from the Knights of Columbus.
Before coming to NCEA Claire was Campus President at the Academy of the Holy Names, a Pre K-12 Catholic school located in Tampa, FL. She was a member of the staff of the Archdiocese of Washington, DC for almost 20 years and held a variety of positions including Director of Personnel, Acting Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
Claire has a Ph.D. in guidance and counseling from Catholic University of America, Washington, DC. Her M.A. in Social Studies is from State University of New York, Albany and her B.A. degree in history is from the College of St. Rose, Albany, NY.
Claire writes for NCEA publications on a regular basis and is a frequent speaker and presenter at workshops and conferences around the country, as well as at NCEA's annual convention.
