    "Catechesis and the Proclamation of the Word” is the theme for Catechetical Sunday 2009.  Material may be downloaded at www.usccb.org/catecheticalsunday/index.shtml. Items are also available at www.nccl.org. The Department of Religious Education encourages giving attention to this important celebration to bring Catholic school teachers and parish catechetical leaders and catechists together for recognition.
