2003 Outstanding Board Award

Largely comprised of professionals distinguished in various fields, this 12-member, limited jurisdiction, policy making board has helped Annunciation Academy to fly, riding on the backs of an endowment to support long-term initiatives, a planned giving program and non-traditional funding sources. At the same time, it has instituted a true-cost tuition policy that maximizes income while providing financial assistance to families in need.
The Annunciation Catholic Academy School Board thrives on accountability – conducting an annual survey of students, parents and alumni; responding to concerns and going so far as to issue a school report card.
It also practices what the church preaches about justice. It supports pay equity for teachers, eschews financial investments in companies with products and practices contrary to Catholic belief, and seeks to foster diversity within its student body.
