Developing the most helpful model and equipping talented people to work effectively within that model can be a challenge for any school system. The department strives to promote and facilitate the development and implementation of successful models of governance for Catholic schools and religious education programs in all types of situations. An important element of the department's mission is to improve the quality of board member leadership through information, resources, services, and training opportunities.
Experience demonstrates again and again that schools reap rich benefits when a wealth of resources and talents are brought in from the community to contribute to shaping a quality education for the children in that community.
We hope you will find services and information on these pages that will benefit your school or education program. We especially encourage your board, commission, or council to become a member of the department so it can receive the many services we provide only to members.
