Catholic Higher Education Supporting Catholic Schools (CHESCS)
CHESCS Members List
CHESCS is a CACE-affiliated group housed within the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA). Its membership is currently comprised of some 23 Catholic colleges and universities that support Catholic elementary and secondary schools through degree programs, certificate/ licensure programs, seminars and professional development experiences for Catholic school teachers and leaders, or related organizations that support CHESCS.
The purpose of the organization is five-fold: 1. To promote collaborative relationships among all levels of Catholic education; including early childhood, elementary, secondary, and higher education. 2. To utilize resources of Catholic higher education to support the work of teaching in and leading Catholic elementary and secondary schools. 3. To promote degree programs that offer professional education for Catholic school teachers and leaders through cooperative efforts of the members. 4. To support members through partnerships and collaborations, sharing of information and resources, and modeling cooperation. 5. To cultivate and encourage an inclusive membership of all Catholic colleges and universities that support Catholic elementary and secondary schools.
