NPCD Programs
DRE-talk: a Yahoo group of over 400 members sponsored by NPCD for parish catechetical directors. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dre-talk/ to register. This will give access to DRE-talk archives (so you can see all the great ideas we had last year). You will also have access to our links. The links page has links to publishers, the Bishops' Conference and others related to catechetical formation. You are welcome to add your favorites. We also have a vault, a place where you can upload files that you think would be of interest to the group. Please put them there rather than attaching them to email. The database is basically a membership list but it is voluntary and includes names, city, state, parish and position in the parish, and email address. If you have a question, contact reled@ncea.org.
NCEA ACRE and IFG: assessment tools designed to strengthen catechetical/religious education programs. For students, the Assessment of Catechesis/Religious Education (NCEA ACRE) helps school, parish and diocesan leaders evaluate the faith knowledge and attitudes of students in Catholic schools and parish-based religious education programs. For adults, Information for Growth (IFG) helps faith formation/religious education leaders identify on-going faith formation needs of adults. Find more at Testimonials by Others about ACRE/IFG.
NCEA Job Bank: for posting new job announcements and searching DRE and Catholic schools positions that are open around the country.
NPCD Awards: the Emmaus Award for Excellence in Catechesis and the Religious Education Excellence Award (REEA), are presented annually.
NPCD National Convocation: held each year in conjunction with NCEA's annual convention and exposition. The convocation, designed especially for parish catechetical leaders, is a four day conference promoting professional growth, prayer and renewal.
