Welcome to the Secondary Schools Department of the National Catholic Educational Association. We are glad of your interest and look forward to your participation as we work to link together our 1,200-plus secondary schools in the unified mission of Catholic education.

The purpose of the Secondary Schools Department is to provide national leadership, advocacy, and services to our members. We do so while recognizing and joining in the Catholic mission of our schools toward educating students in Gospel values. This includes teaching to, recognizing, and nurturing the God given abilities and talents of those students we serve so that they may grow to continue to the Gospel mission..

To carry out this mission and to best serve our member organizations, we work with school leaders across the country in a series of meetings addressing the governance and advancement of Catholic secondary education. Through partnerships with organizations and universities, the Department has been able to support its members by offering a range of professional development opportunities and resources for school administrators and teaching faculty. These include classes, workshops, and information on development, institutional advancement, and school leadership.

Finally, we represent you and the interests of Catholic secondary schools nationwide in working with other national and international associations and in a number of public policy forums, including U.S. Department of Education efforts to recognize exemplary secondary schools and programs.

We are glad you are with us and we continue to be open to suggestions on ways we can better meet your needs. I encourage you to take advantage of the services and information found here as part of our commitment to you as a valued member of NCEA.

Sincerely,
