Guidelines for Nominating Educators for the NCEA Secondary Schools Department Excellence in Education Award
 
 
The Secondary Schools Department  honors Catholic school educators who deserve national recognition and reflect the richness and diversity of American Catholic education.  All Secondary Schools Department and CACE members are encouraged to submit nominations; the nomination form is below. You are encouraged to consider nominees who have made significant contributions in a variety of roles including administrators, faculty, staff, board leadership and athletic and co-curricular advisors.  As you consider potential nominees, please keep in mind the awards criteria:
 
  1. Nominees should be persons who have made outstanding contributions to Catholic secondary education.
  2. Nominations will be open to the entire membership.  The selection committee will determine the number of awards. (Generally, five or six awards are presented).
  3. Recipients will be, or will have been, associated with NCEA through membership and/or service. 
  4. Recipients must be willing and able to attend the convention to receive an award. 
  5. Recipients must have demonstrable achievements in Catholic secondary education at the local, diocesan, state, or national level.
