NCEA CREDIT OPTION
2009 CONVENTION
The University of Dayton is once again cooperating with NCEA to offer graduate credit at this year's convention in Anaheim, California.  Participants will be able to earn one semester hour of graded graduate workshop credit under the title of "Educational Issues 2009."  This is an excellent opportunity for teachers and administrators to have their NCEA experience benefit them beyond the convention.
 
REGISTRATION & ADVISEMENT:
Register online at http://adulteducation.udayton.edu and follow these instructions:
At the bottom of the page,
  • Click on Graduate, non-degree students
Under the heading First-Time Registration,
  • Click on Registration and Course Information
At the bottom of the page,
  • Click on Registration Form
Complete the form including all personal, educational, and course information.  The course information you need to type is:
  • Under Dept. & Course No., type EDA614
  • Under Section No., type ZA
  • Unter Title, type Educational Issues
  • Under Credit Hours, type 1.0
  • Under Grading Option, select Letter
At the bottom of the registration form,

REQUIREMENTS:

1.  Choose one of the three options below:

  • Attend one (1) keynote or general session and three (3) individual sessions and visit the exhibits, OR
  • Attend four (4) individual sessions and visit the exhibits, OR attend one (1) all day symposium.

2.  Submit a 7 to 10 page typewritten, double-spaced report in Times New Roman 12 pt. font identifying the specific sessions attended (session title, date and time), the major ideas and information gained from each session, and why you think these ideas are important.  Include a plan for incorporating this information into your building and/or classroom setting.   An effort should be made to relate your convention experiences to improving your ministry as a teacher or administrator.

Written report/critique are due by May 25, 2009 and should be mailed to:

TUITION:  $231 for one graduate semester credit hour (discounted at half price).  Students will be billed by the University.  Grades will be available the mid-July 2009.
