Mark your calendars and join us for a world of opportunity in the City of Lakes.  There is so much to see and do.  Be sure to plan on attending Professional Development Sessions that will be informative, uplifting and cutting edge.  Make time to visit our large Expo Hall that will be full of resources to assist you in your career.  For an added bonus, select the Best Value Package and receive your registration AND conference recordings.  This option allows you to access sessions recorded LIVE at the conference.  The audio is fully-synchronized to the PowerPoint presentations used in each session in order to provide you with a true multimedia recreation of the event.  These session recordings, as well as online handouts and MP3 files, will be available at the NCEA Live Learning Center. Complete conference session recordings will also be available for purchase on the Web site.
Outside of the convention, relax and take in some of the sights, like:
*Spoonbridge & Cherry in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden
* Hennepin Theatre District
* Mary Tyler Moore statue
* Mall of America
Do not miss this great opportunity to reconnect with your colleagues for a convention to remember!

SEE YOU IN THE TWIN CITIES!

Title II-A funds for professional development under the No Child Left Behind Act may be available to attend the NCEA Convention.  These funds may be used to pay for the “secular, non-ideological” sessions that the participant attends.  Funds may be used for registration as well as travel, lodging, etc.  Requests must be made to the local school district office (LEA) that controls the government funding for these programs. Consult the NCEA Web site (/UserFiles/File/PublicPolicy/Revised_Title_II_Guidance__2_.pdf) for the guidance document pertaining to use of funds for private schools.  Reference this document if there is resistance from the LEA.
