Each issue is built around a special section highlighting an area of particular interest to Catholic educators. Momentum also includes editorials, pertinent book reviews, ads of interest to educators, short essays based on personal experiences, and columns.

Good News
In March 2009, the Religion Communicators Council presented a Certificate of Merit to Momentum during the organization’s annual convention in Boston. Judges noted that, “Writing, editing, design, photography are strong and contribute to consistently high quality in all issues.”

The Communicator Awards competition awarded a Certificate of Excellence to Momentum in June 2008.

In September 2008, Momentum received a Certificate of Excellence in the magazine category in the Thoth Awards competition sponsored by the National Capital Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. The Thoth competition (named after the Egyptian god of communications) recognizes the top editorial and public relations activities conducted in the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area.
