NCEA is pleased to welcome two new executive directors. Phillip Robey now heads the Secondary Schools Department, replacing Sr. Mary Frances Taymans, SND. Msgr. Jeremiah McCarthy is at the helm of the Seminary Department, replacing Bro. Bernard F. Stratman, SM. Robert Brancatelli, associate executive director of the Religious Education Department, left in August to teach at Fordham University, and Christiane Connors, director of special projects for the Secondary Schools Department, left in June to pursue a doctoral degree. Elizabeth Ludvik, project assistant for the Secondary Schools Department, left to begin studies for a master's degree in education.
On August 23, Tim Dwyer, associate executive director of the Department of Chief Administrators of Catholic Education (CACE), died of cancer in his hometown of Gaylord, Michigan. He was 56 years old, and worked for NCEA for nine years.
