Graduation Rates for Catholic Schools Highest in Nation

As Compared to Public and Other Private Schools

Washington, D.C. - The graduation rate at Catholic schools is 99 percent, according to figures compiled by the National Catholic Educational Association. While other private schools also have high graduation rates, Catholic schools do best. Public schools give diplomas to only 71 percent of students attending high school, studies show. The figure for public schools rises to 86 percent if GED certificates are included.
