To all members of NCEA,
As we approach the 10th anniversary of 9/11, I know that many of you will hold prayer services and liturgies to mark this day.
To help your planning, Katherine Schmitt, M.Div., NCEA Director of Religious Assessments, has prepared a prayer service to mark the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Two September 11th prayer services from earlier years are also available for your use. Please adapt any of these prayer services to meet the needs of your participants.
Also, allow me to take this opportunity to urge you to join NCEA and The Catholic University of America on Thursday, September 1 at 12:10 EDT when the Mass of the Holy Spirit is broadcast nationally on EWTN. Cardinal Donald Wuerl's homily will include references to 9-11. This a wonderful way to begin the new school year.
