Ten Catholic School Boards Recognized for Outstanding Performance

Ten Catholic School Boards Recognized for Outstanding Performance

Arlington, Va.—Ten Catholic school boards will receive the Outstanding Board award from the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) during the association’s annual convention in Houston, Tex., in April.

“Each of these boards and councils has proven itself to be a steadfast asset and champion to its school, said Regina Haney, executive director of the NCEA Boards and Councils department.  “They have helped their schools to provide top-notch Catholic education and, in some cases, have forged entirely new paths for their community and schools to thrive.”

Boards not only set the direction for the school, they also use the varied skills of the members to support and advance the school.  Each of these boards has made the challenging strategic moves necessary for their respective schools to continue to have a positive effect on their students’ formation and education.

This year’s recipients are:

  • Bishop Blanchet High Advisory Board, Seattle, Wash.
  • Blanchet Catholic School Board of Directors, Salem, Org.
  • North Platte Catholic School Board of Education, North Platte, Neb.
  • Notre Dame Academy Board of Trustees, Toledo, Ohio
  • St. Anastasia Catholic School Consultative School Board, Los Angeles, Calif.
  • St. Anne Catholic School Board, Houston, Tex.
  • St. Augustine School Board, Laredo, Tex.
  • St. Edmond’s Academy Board of Directors, Wilmington, Del.
  • St. John the Baptist Catholic School Board, Madison, Ala.
  • St. Maria Goretti Catholic School Advisory Council, Arlington, Tex.
