Institutional Advancement Services

Field Services in Institutional Advancement.
NCEA's Secondary Schools Department offers professional on-site development services for Catholic high schools. On-site development services have made a substantial difference to high schools throughout the country, and can impact dramatically the vitality of your school's development program. Broad research and data summaries of campaigns testify that schools that work with external counsel achieve greater results than those that proceed on their own.

Generally, on-site services can take two forms:

  • Development audit -- a formal assessment of your development operations. It typically requires one full day and evening at your school, and includes volunteers with staff, volunteers and board members. A meeting with your full board on the evening of the visit is followed by a comprehensive written report outlining commendations and recommendations for enhanced results in your school's development operation.
  • On-going consultation at your school is designed to correspond to your institution's life and culture. The format -- a two-day, intensive session followed by a one-day on-site consultation at regular intervals -- practically guarantees success to a school planning to launch a capital campaign or establish a major gifts program.

Executive Search Service
The Department also offers an executive search service. This consultative service is designed to help Catholic secondary schools experiencing turnover in the head of school position to identify and select the best candidate.
