Catholic schools have a long-standing commitment to academic excellence that is rooted in the faith-based mission of Catholic education.  The NCEA statement is issued to provide clarity about what the standards are and are not and to provide information about the standards and their impact on Catholic dioceses and schools that are adapting the Common Core State Standards.
