Annunciation Catholic School
Diocese of Jackson
Annunciation Catholic School, Columbus, MS, Diocese of Jackson, established in 1963, is the only parochial school in the Golden Triangle with dual accreditations from Midsouth Association of Independent Schools and Cognia. Currently serving over 200 students in the Golden Triangle and west Alabama, the students represent a range of cultural and economic diversity. Serving grades Pre-K through 8, an emphasis is placed on service to others and a rigorous curriculum, which cultivates life-long learners who are not only head smart but also heart smart. In the fall of 2019, Annunciation expanded its campus with a new building. This state-of-the-art facility includes six additional classrooms, STREAM lab, science lab, library and administrative offices. With this addition, the school is better able to accommodate a growing enrollment. Since 2011, enrollment has increased by 97 percent, and the Annunciation community couldn’t be more thrilled.
