Arlington, VA — As Catholic schools settle into the new school year, the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) has strengthened its teams to further the mission of serving Catholic schools. Sterling Morse, Thomas Pigg and Jennifer Stewart have been promoted to advancement services manager, project coordinator and events manager, respectively.
NCEA President/CEO Thomas Burnford said, "The promotions of Sterling, Thomas and Jennifer come just as we embark on a new school year, with ambitious goals that reflect the value of what we do and support our dedication to growing Catholic school education in the United States."
Sterling Morse joined NCEA in 2013 as the mailroom manager/membership services representative. After a brief absence in 2015, he returned to NCEA and was promoted to membership operations coordinator, making sure members have access to member benefits and troubleshooting. As the advancement services manager, Sterling will work with Matthew Russell, director of advancement services, to expand the corporate partnerships for NCEA and increase its active donor base.
Thomas Pigg also has been with NCEA since 2013. He began as an administrative assistant for the board department. After a restructure of the association, he became the administrative assistant for the leadership development team. In his new position as project coordinator for the leadership development team, Thomas has the responsibility for coordinating the planning of annual events, such as the Catholic Leadership Summit and the Institute for Catholic School Leaders, and is the leadership liaison to all NCEA departments.
In the two years Jennifer Stewart has worked at NCEA, she has had increasing responsibilities. Jennifer works with events director, Amy Durkin, and is involved with each and every NCEA professional and leadership event, as well as the annual NCEA Convention & Expo. Jennifer is involved in speaker management, mobile app development, arranging meeting rooms and all the logistics necessary to execute successful professional events.
