Why Attend & Seminar Description
The Exceptional Learners Post-Conference will be held in conjunction with the NCEA 2020 Convention & Expo in Baltimore, MD. This post conference will provide top-level education to teachers and school and arch/diocesan leaders who currently serve or are exploring serving Exceptional Learners in a Catholic school setting. Evidence-based approaches will be presented to address students with diagnosed disabilities, students who are struggling in the classroom, English language learners and talented and gifted students. Multi-tiered systems of support will be explored including RTI and PBIS as well as a variety of program options for English learners and gifted and talented students. Information on funding sources such as federal programs, foundations and funds will be shared. The meeting consists of professional development sessions, an inspirational keynote and networking opportunities with those who share a passion for advancing service to Exceptional Learners in Catholic schools. Exemplars of existing programs will be shared. Attendees will leave the seminar with the tools to implement and enhance student service programs designed to serve Exceptional Learners in the Catholic school setting.
