Paula Gwynn Grant joined The Society of St. Vincent de Paul USA as Senior National Director of Marketing and Communications in September 2025.

With her diverse experience and knowledge as a 35-year Emmy award-winning television broadcaster and Marketing Communications expert, Paula Gwynn Grant is a Catholic leader with a keen understanding of community relations and how to best work with general public, the media, and grass roots communities.

Paula Gwynn Grant specializes in crisis communications/media relations, advocacy, and marketing for non-profits.

Over her career, Paula has served as public relations counsel for local and national politicians including those from Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. She has also been a patient/homeless prevention/affordable housing advocate and Marketing Communications advisor for affordable housing developers, religious leaders, medical professionals/healthcare systems, entertainment celebrities, and authors.

She additionally once served as Southeast Regional Vice President of Communications and Resident Services for Mercy Housing Southeast, a national non-profit affordable housing developer for low-income families and seniors (Sisters of Mercy) and as Vice President of Communications and Resident Services for a local housing authority in DeKalb County, Georgia.

A native of Washington, D.C. -- born at Providence Catholic Hospital, a graduate of St. Jude’s Regional Catholic School for grades 1 – 8, The Academy of the Holy Cross High School (1985), and The University of Maryland - College Park in 1988 -- Paula, for the past 6 years, has been Secretary for Communications for The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, D.C. after 5 years as Director of Communications for The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta.

In these vital positions, Paula had the honor and great privilege of collaborating with ministry and business leaders from a wide spectrum of faith traditions and industries as she managed all Archdiocesan internal and external communications with dexterity and professionalism as the official media spokesperson and representative for the Cardinal Archbishop.

A firm believer in the reach and tremendous impact of conscientiously and consistently sharing factual information and our diverse stories as part of addressing the many challenges of today’s world, Paula is dedicated to assisting and accompanying Catholic leaders and the Faithful in boldly living and sharing our Gospel values.

Paula is grateful for the life journey God has her on professionally and personally with her husband, Ray, and their 29-year-old daughter and 25-year-old son.
