Are you a Google Workspace guru? Google & NCEA want you to join the National Initiative to train every Catholic school teacher in the country. We are looking for 6 of the best and brightest to found the NCEA Google Educator Group (GEG)!
GEG Leaders are strategic connectors within the U.S. education landscape, typically serving as Instructional Tech Coaches, Curriculum Specialists, Library Media Directors, or Teachers who bridge the gap between district-level goals and classroom practice. While many may already be Google Certified Trainers or Coaches, we are seeking any pedagogical leader with the influence to drive the adoption of Google Gemini.
NCEA has partnered with Google in a landmark initiative to provide AI literacy training for all Catholic school K12 teachers and higher ed faculty in the U.S. This comprehensive training is designed to help educators safely and thoughtfully use Google’s suite of AI tools - including Gemini and NotebookLM - to thrive in a world where AI is becoming more prevalent.
We are seeking 6 trailblazing education leaders to kick-start this initiative for Catholic educators. If selected, you will attend an in-person (travel & accommodations paid) Google AI Literacy training and receive the materials and support needed to implement thoughtfully designed training modules in your region. You will be one of NCEA's founding Google Educator Group (GEG) Leaders, which comes with exclusive opportunities for professional growth, networking, and resource-sharing. Apply by April 30.
How to Apply Why Nominate
NCEA GEG Leader Pledge
- Attend the AI Literacy training in person; all GEG travel expenses covered.
- Establish yourself as a founding member of NCEA's GEG and abide by Google Educator Group (GEG) Leader Community Requirements
- Maintain an active and informative Google Site (Template will be provided by Google for Education team) to share resources, promote events, and foster a vibrant online community
- Curate discussions, blog posts, and online events within the new NCEA GEG online group
- Use the Google-provided GEG email alias to create and share content
- Hold quarterly events for Catholic school educators in your region
- Host 1 in person professional learning day event for schools in your diocese
- Attend NCEA Presidents' Google Teaching & Learning Leadership Advisory Board Meeting
- Contribute to a NCEA Tri-annual newsletter on AI and Teaching Strategies using Google Workspace
- Be an ambassador for Google Workspace for Education and Google Gemini
