Faith Formation

  • Catholic Scouting offers more than 50 Religious Activities that anyone can use:
    • Eucharistic Revival Religious Activities are a special set of activities in support of the National Eucharistic Revival. The goal of these activities is to help all Catholics revive their faith and love of Jesus through prayer and the sacraments, especially the Eucharist.
    • Rosary Series has five activities that teach young people about the Rosary.
    • Marian Series has five activities that examine Marian Feasts commemorated in the United States.
    • American Saint Series provides an opportunity for Scouts to learn about great men and women who influence American Catholics.
    • Modern Saint Series offers Scouts examples of 20th and 21st century men and women who made an impact on Catholics around the world.
    • Faith Series provides Scouts an opportunity to learn about key elements of Catholic tradition and teaching.
    • International Series offers activities designed to help Scouts understand their connection to the Universal Church and fellow Catholic Scouts in the global community, as well as understand our shared responsibility to care for the Earth.
    • Heritage Series includes long-standing Religious Activities to which some groups share a special devotion.

Service Projects

  • Commitment to serving others is a cornerstone of Catholic Scouting. Catholic Scouting leaders are encouraged to engage Scouts as young as kindergarten age in projects that help them learn about the value of volunteering to serve others. As young people grow and advance through Catholic Scouting they engage in successively more in-depth projects that help foster citizenship, develop character and build leadership skills in service of their parish, their larger community, their country and the Church. View examples of service projects broken out by age group. Catholic Scouting regularly updates a listing of service project ideas broken out by age group.
