NAEP 2008 Trends in Academic Progress

The NAEP long-term trend assessments makes it possible to chart educational progess in reading and mathematics since the early 1970 for students in public, private and Catholic schools.  While Catholic school data is part of the private school category, it is also reported separately.  

Average scale scores by school type for selected years are shown below.
