Day of Giving

Twenty years ago, Saint Pope John Paul II said to an audience of Catholic educators in New Orleans: “Yours is a great gift to the Church, a great gift to your nation.”

Countless people in our country have been blessed by the many gifts of Catholic schools. However, many adults have lost touch with their local Catholic school community. It is time for those people who have been impacted by your school to reconnect with the community that gave them so much, and give back.

With this recognition in mind, the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) is pleased to present the online giving campaign: Many Gifts, One Nation: A Day of Giving to Catholic Schools.

This is a time for individuals to give back to their local Catholic school. By leveraging social media, this national day of philanthropy and camaraderie will invite all people, across the country, who have been impacted by Catholic school education in ways big and small to financially donate at a local level.

This day is made possible with the generous support of FACTS Management.

WHEN: Scheduled for 24 hours starting January 30, 2018, 9:00am EST to January 31, 2018, 9:00am EST.
WHERE: Online! Each Catholic school and arch/diocese will have their own customized giving page that will go live at the start of the day of giving. Donors will also be able to search on this page for the institutions to which they would like to give.
WHY: Because Catholic schools change lives and now is the time to give back!

Information for Schools/Dioceses

SETTING UP YOUR GIVING PAGE: The portal for customizing individual school/diocese giving pages is now open, as of November 20, 2017. Your school leader should have received an email from FACTS with personal log-in information to be used in updating individual giving pages. If your principal has NOT received an email, please contact giving@factsmgt.com for it to be resent. During the week of January 22, 2018, FACTS will share your outward-facing URL with your school or arch/diocese so you may directly share your direct giving page information with your communities. You may add updates to your page through January 26, 2018. More information is available online.

PROMOTING THE DAY OF GIVING: If you have not yet done so, please be sure to watch this quick webinar (you will need to register for a previously recorded webinar from this link) that includes a tutorial for marketing your event and setting up your page. In addition, refer to the Marketing Kit for Catholic Schools for suggestions on how to get the most out of your school’s participation for the Many Gifts, One Nation: A Day of Giving to Catholic Schools campaign.

Information for Donors

Check back on January 30, 2018 to search for the Catholic schools that have made a difference in your life. You can give to as many schools/dioceses as you would like. Your gift will go only to the school you have selected and your donor information will not be shared with any other school or organization. MasterCard, Visa and Discover will be the only accepted forms of payment (American Express and Diners Club are not eligible). A receipt will be sent directly to your email once your gift has been made.

Don’t forget to let others know that you participated. Share on your social media networks and challenge your former teachers, classmates and friends to give as well! Remember—Many Gifts, One Nation will only be available for 24 hours. Make sure every gift happens during this time!
