SATURDAY: Discover Catholic School Alumni

Catholic school alumni are living examples of your Catholic school product. Whether students have moved on to higher education or matriculated into the workforce, a large part of their formation and readiness was established in your school.

TIP: Although alumni may not be in the area, invite them to participate in virtual events. If they are planning to travel home for Thanksgiving, consider hosting an event the following week when they will be home to connect with them and nurture their continued relationship with your school.

Ideas for Discover Catholic School Alumni

  • Host an alumni versus current student sporting event such as a volleyball game or basketball game. Invite prospective students to watch!
  • Ask alumni to record brief video testimonies as to what the experience in your school has done to prepare them for the next step. Use these videos at a future open house event and share on social media.
  • Invite alumni to a social hour event to network and catch up.
  • Invite alumni to share what they are doing now and how they believe a Catholic education made an impact in their lives. Create a newsletter for current families, include their answers in the parish bulletin or highlight them on social media.
